This course is an introduction to the nature of voice production and articulation. The emphasis will be on freeing the natural voice as it pertains to performance.
It is an 8 week exploration into how to use your voice. Over the course, you will:
- • Learn how and why we do certain voice exercises as well as stretches we use to open the body to supported breath and sound
- Gain a better understanding of the progression through warming up your voice
- Work practically with text of your choosing, to make the transition from the “warm-up” to application in rehearsal and performance
This program is an in-depth introduction to voice-work for any actor, an ongoing exploration and deepening of voice-work for the professional actor, but is also accessible and open to anyone that requires extensive use of their voice on a daily basis.
Class runs Wednesday evenings: 7:00PM – 9:00PM
September 6 – October 25, 2017 – 8 sessions
