What do all these shows have in common besides they were all shot in Alberta?

They all had actors/actress on them that started off taking classes from Freedom Tech Production. Our past students have also gone on to do numerous national commercials, stunt doubling, stunt acting and past students are now full ACTRA, members of Stunt Guilds, members of the Director’s Guild of Canada, members of IATSE and CAEA Apprentices.

Cost: $450 GST included
10 weeks every Monday or Saturday
Monday Start Date: September 11 – November 20 (No class on Thanksgiving)
Saturday Start Date: September 16 – November 25 (No class on October 21 and November 11)
Monday Time: 7-9 pm
Saturday Time: 10 am – 12 pm
Place: 10526 Jasper Avenue NW, Edmonton AB
Ages: 8+, it is a mixture of age groups.
All class work will be filmed and each student will get a DVD of their work at the end of the course.

Due to the success rate of previous students and the demand in the industry, Freedom Tech Production “Step into Film” (beginner) Class will address acting styles of current genres in Film / T.V. , the course will also teach the A-Z of the film industry, commercials and monologues.

Current styles in the industry are Graphic Novel, historical dramas, current social issues, sketch comedy, and supernatural series.

Past students have been cast in all of these genres from principal to lead roles. They have also enjoyed lead roles in National Commercials that utilized their athletic skills.

INTERMEDIATE FILM ACTING

Cost: $500 GST Included
10 weeks every Tuesday
Start Date: September 19 – November 28 (No class on Halloween)
Time: 7 – 9 pm
Place: 10526 Jasper Avenue NW, Edmonton AB
Age: Ages: 8+, it is a mixture of age groups.
All class work will be filmed and each student will get a DVD of their work at the end of the course.
*BEGINNER ACTING CLASS REQUIRED*

Are you a novice actor who is looking to become more skilled in film acting then this is the course for you.

In the intermediate class, we will be focusing on:
– Duologues (2-person scenes)
– How power is shown on screen and the give and take of power between actors
– Character building based on a real person
– A basic overview and hands on experience on crew positions
– A large group scene taken from iconic movies.

AUDITION AND PROTOCOL CLASS

Cost: $550 GST Included
10 weeks every Wednesday
Start Date: September 13 – November 15
Time: 7 – 9 pm

Age: Ages: 8+, it is a mixture of age groups.
All class work will be filmed and each student will get a DVD of their work at the end of the course.
PREVIOUS ACTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Are you an intermediate performer that would like to up their game when it comes to auditions and also learn different information that will help you on and off the set.

In this course, you will learn:
– How to breakdown a character
– Make effective character choices
– Learn effective ways to break down sides for auditions
– Other character work and character development based on the sides.
– Meet Producers, Directors and other professionals in the industry.
– Learn about different casting director styles
– Learn about the API agreement and other contract terms and conditions
– Learn how to find an agent and what makes a good one
