it’s our birthday!

It’s been a while year since we flung open the doors and unveiled our beautifully rebuilt Varscona Theatre, right in the heart of Old Strathcona. Since that time, thousands of Edmontonians have experienced The Varscona’s unique atmosphere, which marries its cosy past with a fresh and elegant present.

With 200 comfortable seats, The Varscona Theatre hosts the plays of Shadow Theatre, Teatro La Quindicina, Die-Nasty: The Live Improvised Soap Opera, as well as many smaller theatre companies, making it one of the busiest and most collaborative theatre spaces in the country.

So what’s not to celebrate? The Varscona First Annual Birthday Gala will be a uniquely unforgettable evening!
