The Edmonton Epilepsy Association is recruiting actors to become puppeteers.
Performing in elementary schools during the school year, you will be educating
children about seizures to minimize discrimination and to increase knowledge
about seizure first aid. This is a part-time position. Training in the art of Japanese
Bunraku Puppetry will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- memorizing two scripts and becoming familiar with epilepsy
- must commit to one hour performances and 20 minute set-ups
- have ability to lift puppets which are 3 feet tall
Puppeteers receive an honorarium and reimbursement of travel expenses.
