Wagonstage Children’s Theatre Presents: Jumpy the Frog
Drama students to perform free family-friendly “Jumpy the Frog” July 4 – August 31
Action! Comedy! Bumbershoots! This year’s Wagonstage production has it all, and we’re buzzing like busy busy bees to bring this tale of exploration and discovery to you. We can’t wait for you to join us as
we jump-yip, flutter, and dance through this harrowing and enlightening adventure story.
Jumpy the Frog: Jumpy is a Black-Tailed Prairie Dog and life at the bottom of the food chain is making him, well….a little jumpy! Join him on his magical flying Bumbershoot as he travels the world in search of a new habitat and instead finds more excitement than he bargained for. This play is great for all ages complete with puppets and loads of audience interaction guaranteed to make you jump for joy.
Since 1971, Wagonstage Children’s Theatre has produced entertaining, interactive and educational plays for families, written and directed by theatre professionals and performed by drama students of the School of Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Calgary. Since 2015, Wagonstage has found a home at the Calgary Zoo over the summer months.
Wagonstage is presented at the Calgary Zoo from July 4 to August 31 Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m at the Dinosaur Amphitheatre. Running time is approx. 25 minutes. Admission included in Calgary Zoo Admissions.
