Call for Submissions (Edmonton): “HALF TIME” for Canada 150 – Mile Zero Dance

Performance Party showcasing Athletes and Artists

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: JUNE 2, 2017

HALF TIME: A Sesquicentennial Party is hosted by Mile Zero Dance, curated by Sarah Ormandy. This is the first Canada 150 party that Mile Zero Dance will be hosting. It is an interactive performance party exploring the performativity of sports and athletics.

I am looking for any athlete with a skill they would like to showcase, whether it be their athletic ability or an artistic skill that is entirely different. I am also looking for any artist with a performance related to sports or a sporting event. It can be a 10 minute performance, a duration piece, or anything else.

The event will be on July 15, 2017.
Artists will be paid.
Deadline to submit: June 2, 2017.
