2016-2017 Cappies season: More than 250 students nominated in 42 categories!

Cappies of Greater Edmonton: The nominees were selected by student critics from 22 area high schools who reviewed 19 shows performed by their peers.

On May 13, the critics voted in a proctored setting at St. Joseph High School. Only critics who had reviewed a minimum of four shows were allowed to vote, and only on the shows they had reviewed. Critics were excluded from voting for their own school’s show or in any category in which they had performed. The results of the vote were audited by Sean Ward, of the law firm of Reynolds, Mirth, Richards and Farmer.

The winners will be announced at the Cappies Gala, Sunday, June 11, at the Citadel Theatre.
