Seeking two Child Performers for 2017 Holiday productionPRODUCTION DETAILS: E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web, directed by Laurel Green.
AUDITION DATES: Tuesday, June 6, & Wednesday, June 7, 2017; 4:00pm – 8:00pm each day.
LOCATION: Alberta Theatre Projects Rehearsal Hall, Third Floor, Arts Commons at 220 9 Ave SE. Please access via Stage Door.
ABOUT THE PLAY: A stage adaptation of E.B. White’s beloved children’s classic about the unlikely friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a spider called Charlotte. Please read the novel for more details about the story.
REHEARSALS & PERFORMANCES: Rehearsals begin on Friday, October 27, 2017 and include weekends and some evenings; Performances are Friday, November 24 – Sunday, December 31, 2017 (excluding Christmas Day December 25, 2017.
PLEASE NOTE: During rehearsals and performances, the day off is on Mondays only. The Child Performers will be required for all show performances (evenings and weekends) as we do not double cast roles. ATP will provide a Child Supervisor that will work with the Child Performers for all rehearsals and performances. Casting will be arranged in close conversation with the Child Performer’s Legal Guardian.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR 2 YOUNG PEOPLE TO PLAY:
- Fern Arable – A girl, looks between 8 – 10 years old.
- Avery Arable – A boy, Fern’s older brother, looks between 11 – 13 years old.
ATP is committed to reflecting our community. The Director strongly encourages actors from all cultural backgrounds to submit for the roles of Fern and Avery Arable.
Please include the following with your submission:
- A recent photo (school photos are fine),
- A resume outlining any performing experience (school/community plays, choirs, etc), acting/singing/dance classes or camps, or special skills (instruments, gymnastics, etc).
- Parent/Guardian contact information (phone, email, address).
- Age and birthdate of the child.
- School that the child is attending in Fall 2017.
