Punctuate! Theatre presents Bone Wars: The Curse of the Pathological Palaeontologists – a show that offers audiences of all ages a chance to time travel down the Red Deer River to the Badlands to discover the Wild West in a musical comedy about fossils and dinosaur bone hunters.

When three eleven year-olds are forced to abandon their canoe trip and take refuge in an abandoned mined they meet the world’s most legendary dinosaur bone hunters. Soon, they are embroiled in a quarrel and become judge and jury to determine which bone hunter is the greatest palaeontologist. The musical comedy of Bone Wars: The Curse of the Pathological Palaeontologists will take you on a journey that recalls Alberta’s Wild West past while encouraging you to consider its future.

Written by Matthew Mackenzie and directed by Chris Bullough, with composer Laura Raboud, movement designer Amber Borotsik, and set and lighting designer Zsófia Opra Szabó. Starring Davina Stewart, Leona Brausen, Murray Utas, and Beth Graham.
