Quest TheatreGeneral Auditions in Calgary for artists not familiar to the company

Quest Theatre wants to encourage all artists to explore theatre for young audiences as part of their ongoing practice. Quest Theatre is open to inspiration from any artist who is passionate about sharing their love of theatre with young people. We welcome artists of various races, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and ability, as these represent the audience we serve.

WHEN: Sunday, May 7, and Monday, May 8, 2017.

WHO: Auditions are for Equity artists and Non-Equity artists. As Quest Theatre is a touring company, artists cannot be enrolled as full or part-time students as of September 2017. We welcome submissions from across the country, and we would love to see you when you are in town, however, we will not be accepting video auditions.

WHERE: Quest Theatre Rehearsal Hall located at cSPACE, King Edward 1721 – 29 Ave S.W. Suite #325.

WHAT: Please prepare two contrasting monologues, no longer than 3 minutes in length for both. Actors will audition in Calgary for Artistic Director Nikki Loach.

HOW: Please send electronic resume and photo to Nikki Loach at artistic-director@questtheatre.org. Please make subject heading: “Quest Theatre General Auditions 2017.”

Deadline to submit: May 1, 2017.

Quest Theatre is a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, and operates within the jurisdiction of the Canadian Theatre Agreement. Equity members cast in any production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
