Complicite - Collaborative Curiosity, Rocky Mountain SeriesRegistration OPEN for the last RMS master class of the 2016/2017 Season!

Complicite: Collaborative Curiosity | April 28-30, 2017
Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity w/ instructor Joyce Henderson

Theatre Alberta, in partnership with Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, and Edmonton’s Theatre Yes is proud to announce Complicite: Collaborative Curiosity. This three-day master class with Complicite artist Joyce Henderson will explore a range of creation techniques that foster ensemble. Participants from across disciplines (actors, directors, playwrights, dancers, and designers) will work as an ensemble with material they contribute, collaborating through physicality, including Lecoq techniques, a shared visual language, and play.

Class Description: Complicite is an international touring theatre company from London, England. The company is renowned for their development of a shared visual language that anchors their imaginative work. There is never one way of making work at Complicite—each production has a different process, informed by the source material and the artists in the rehearsal hall. What is consistent is that everyone involved works together as an ensemble, often across disciplines, to build the production.

This master class will share Complicite’s creative processes, the kinds of performance the company specializes in, and its unique dynamic atmosphere.

TUITION for this 3-day master class is $350
FULL MEAL PLANS at Banff Centre are ~$40/day
SHARED ROOMS are ~$35/person/day
PRIVATE ROOMS are ~$65/person/day
