MEG BRAEM and JULIA WASILEWSKI to be Workshop Facilitators for ATP’s “Raucous Caucus”
Playwriting w/ Meg Braem: Meg’s plays have won the Alberta Literary Award for Drama, the Alberta Playwriting Competition, and Playwright Theatre Centre’s “The News Competition.” Her play, Blood: A Scientific Romance was published by Playwrights Canada Press and nominated for a Governor General’s Literary Award. Meg’s work has been presented at the Citadel Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Lunchbox Theatre, The Belfry Theatre, Sage Theatre, Sparrow and Finch Theatre, Theatre Transit, Atomic Vaudeville, and Intrepid Theatre. Meg is playwright-in-residence at Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre.
Design w/ Julia Wasilewski: Julia is a Calgary based set, light, and costume designer. She is the Properties Master at the University of Calgary, as well as designing at a variety of theatres across the province including Lunchbox Theatre, Sage Theatre, Calgary Opera, One Yellow Rabbit, Ghost River Theatre, Urban Curvz, Ground Zero Theatre, Forte Musical Theatre, New West Theatre, and Keyano College. She has taught a variety of theatre workshops and programs across the city with students of all ages including at the University of Calgary, Playhouse North and Theatre Alberta’s Artstrek. Julia is a founding member and resident designer for Theatre Transit.
