Trickster Theatre is looking for an energetic, well-organized person to join our team and manage day-to-day operations of our programs in schools.

Trickster Theatre is one of Alberta’s largest children’s theatre companies. It produces 35 to 40 week-long artist-in-school residencies per year, runs 2 popular educational resource websites and is involved in educational research though relationships with school boards, universities and foundations. The company was founded in 1980.

The Operations Manager plays a key role in the success of the company. This position offers logistical support to the teams of artists delivering the programs,  as well as support to the schools where the programs take place. The operations manager coordinates artist and school contracts, residency and FLEX program scheduling, hotel bookings, video shoot scheduling, tour supplies management, expense tracking, vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules, tour stats,  and manages the set-up of the residencies (with a team of project managers).

The successful candidate will be a strong team player, have exceptional inter-personal skills, be extremely well organized, have great computer skills and be interested in making a difference in children’s lives.  The candidate will have at least two years experience in non-profit management, production management or equivalent private sector experience.

Skills required include an excellent working knowledge of  Google Drive, Word and Excel, along with a working knowledge of on-line database management. Experience in video production is an asset.

This is a full-time permanent position with a wage between $20 to $30 per hour plus benefits. Working hours are flexible in the summer months when school is out.

The company office is in northwest Calgary, in the Tuscany area (not accessible by transit). Some travel is required. Applicant must be over 25 years of age, have a clean driving record and own a car.
