Performances, an auction, a scrumptious deluxe brunch, and more!
The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is gearing up for its 29th season in Hawrelak Park. The company proudly invites Edmonton’s Shakespeare lovers to sweep their Valentines off their feet at the annual Brunch of Love.
Date: February 5, 2017 from 11am – 2pm.
Location: Royal Mayfair Golf and Country Club.
The Brunch of Love celebrates the Bard’s romantic side, our Edmonton audience, and the generous community of support that makes the festival possible. This love-addled afternoon is Freewill’s annual major fundraiser and pre-festival teaser. The event includes performances, an auction, a scrumptious deluxe brunch, and more.
The auction is packed with exciting items up for grabs including a weekend getaway in Banff at the Rundlestone Lodge, a basket from Alley Kat, a private circus experience with Firefly Theatre, a wine basket from Unwined, a supply of soap for a year courtesy of the Wild Prairie Soap Company, a $5000 media campaign voucher from Pattison and a pair of Oilers tickets for their 2016/17 season, and more!
The event will be hosted by Mary Hulbert, with Thou Art Here Theatre regaling attendees with Bard-ish music, and our Freewill Squirrels will make an appearance at each table along with yummy cookies by River City Cookies.
Tickets are $100 each or a table of 10 for $1000, with a charitable tax receipt of $50 for each ticket. Purchase tickets online or book a table by contacting our office at 780.425.8086.
The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is a registered charitable organization that depends on this annual fundraiser to support its mandate of providing professional and affordable productions of the Bard’s work to all audiences.
