Event (Edmonton): Backstage Access Workshop & Tradeshow – Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium

2017 Backstage Access

Technical & Production Seminars; Roadhouse Roundtable, Equipment Tradeshow!

The Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton is set to host Backstage Access: Production Expo on March 28, 2017. This event will provide an opportunity for arts and cultural organizations from a wide range of performance spaces to attend technical and production, seminars, and to see the newest technological advances in equipment in a one day trade show.

Attendees will be able to attend workshops covering a wide range of topics in the areas of lighting and audio, stage and production management, venue safety, and LED lighting and audio consoles. This year, in addition to the afternoon sessions on the day of the trade show, there will be daylong Advance Classes in lighting, audio, and rigging.

Back again this year is the Roadhouse Roundtable, a half day-long session with production management, technical directors, and operators of performing arts venues across Western Canada. The event provides a forum to discuss current issues and concerns in venue operation.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees will explore the Jubilee backstage for a firsthand look at the latest technology in the trade show with many major manufacturers and suppliers of entertainment technology.
