Alberta Foundation for the ArtsAlberta Culture & Tourism, Edmonton – Promote artistic and cultural participation for all Albertans.

Your insightful leadership and collaborative approach will guide the development and delivery of all programs related to the promotion and sustainability of the arts and artists, and provide legislated film classification services across Alberta. You will provide executive leadership to the Alberta Foundation for theArts (AFA) who is the primary arts resource and grant funding body in Alberta. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Creative and Community Development Division, you will contribute to policies, frameworks and legislation for the arts and inspire enthusiasm for arts and film exhibitions throughout Alberta, and provide input on national policies.

As executive leadership for the AFA, you will support the AFA in achieving their mandate tohelp unleash the potential of every artist through funding, arts promotion, and capacity-building services.As liaison between government departments and community stakeholders, you will ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of strong and positive relationships. Modeling a highly collaborative approach, you will engage stakeholders in forward focused initiatives that support the arts and film industry provincially and nationally.

Ideally, your extensive management experience includes proven abilities in strategic leadership supplemented with expert knowledge of the arts. Your solid understanding of and sensitivity to all stakeholder perspectives will enable you to implement fair and timely solutions. Strong communication and negotiation skills and proven track record of building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups will position you well for this role. A related graduate degree is preferred. This Executive Manager position has a salary range of $125,318 – $164,691 ($4,801.47 – $6,310.03 bi-weekly).
