A warm THANK YOU to DRIVING FORCE!
Theatre Alberta, Fringe Theatre Adventures, and the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta—aka the PICKS OF THE EDMONTON FRINGE partners—are sending the biggest THANKS to DRIVING FORCE for their recent support of the project! DRIVING FORCE provided a minivan for our November 2016 double-bill tour of Defiance Theatre’s OCD and One Little Indian’s Métis Mutt, which toured to Whitecourt, Fort McMurray, and Medicine Hat.
Our goal to promote Alberta-based theatre touring would not be possible without the transportation to do it. DRIVING FORCE’s generous vehicle donation and superb customer service made the November tour travel dates not only possible, but infinitely more enjoyable! As all touring theatre artists know, a safe vehicle complete with satellite radio is as good as it gets!
The Picks of the Edmonton Fringe project, now in its final year, is subsidized by the partnering organizations and project grants from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and Alberta Culture’s Community Initiatives Program. Community presenters pay a flat fee for performances, regardless of their location in the province. Sponsors like DRIVING FORCE allow us to guarantee artist payments regardless of how many performances we have been able to book for each show. Our hope is that both community presenters and Albertan theatre companies will be left with the confidence and experience to work together beyond this initiative, and to regularly bring local theatre to all corners of the province.
DRIVING FORCE’s motto is “At DRIVING FORCE, we make transportation solutions easy.” Our tour transportation solution was made extremely easy by your gracious support!
