Seeking Actor submissions for roles of Jesus for 2017 summer production.

Rehearsals Run: May 12 – July 6 (Wednesday – Sunday).

Shows Run: July 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23 (Fri, Sat, Sun).

JESUS (18-35): The rightful heir to the created world arrives on earth to find his creation does not recognize him. As he seeks to restore an ancient kingdom, he must confront the cultural power sources of his time and the age-old human condition. Stage combat experience essential.

Interested actors should email résumés, head shots and any questions to passionplayauditions@gmail.com, with the subject line, 2017 Audition Request. Auditions will consist of a scene selected by the company, which will be sent to applicants once submissions are reviewed.
Applicants will be contacted within 2 to 3 workdays after submission is received.

Deadline to Apply: Friday January 20, 2017.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta.

Times and audition location will be confirmed as soon as possible.

The Canadian Badlands Passion Play is one of Canada’s largest outdoor theatrical events. A not for profit, charitable organization in its 23rd season, the company annually depicts the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in dramatic form. With mixed cast of roughly 200 professional and volunteer performers, live animals and permanent middle eastern set structures on a massive outdoor stage, The Passion Play is an epic story told on an epic scale.
