Changes to Project Grants for Individual Artists

The Edmonton Arts Council is pleased to announce some changes to our CIP Artist Project Grant stream. Instead of one deadline per year, the CIP Artist Project Grant program will now offer individual artists three opportunities annually to apply for support. Grants will still support creation, research, development, curation, exhibition or production of work in any art form, as well as professional development projects. The small grant deadlines (February 15 and September 15) will accept applications for up to $5000, replacing the now-suspended Microgrant program. The large grant deadline (June 15) will be for applications for between $5000 and $25000. All three programs will be assessed by a peer jury.

There are some limits regarding repeated applications in one year, see guidelines. Those limits do not affect an artist’s ability to apply to any other EAC program, including Travel grants, Cultural Diversity Project Grants, or the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund.
