Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity offers a range of practicum opportunities in specialisms ranging from stage production to wigs and make up. See the full list of Practicum positions here.
Gain practical experience whilst being guided by multiple creative and design teams working simultaneously in opera, dance, theatre, and interdisciplinary performance. This is complemented by a competency-based training approach that identifies and tracks key skills which the industry has identified as necessary to enter the profession. An individual’s responsibilities are based on personal needs, goals, and experiences, as well as interests and abilities. There will be opportunities to meet with professional directors, designers, and performers throughout the production process.
Who should apply: Participants normally will have completed at least two years of relevant academic training, with related professional experience, or will have experience in a related area of professional performing arts.
