Banff by Don LeeAccepting Proposals for 2017/2018 Season of Workshops by Request: Rocky Mountain Series

Theatre Alberta is issuing a call for submissions for our members to initiate a 2017/2018 season master class at Banff Centre for Arts and CreativityWho have you always wanted to work with? In what skills or techniques are you dying to get intensive training? If you have an answer to either or both of these questions, The Rocky Mountain Series is for you. Group members or ad hoc groups of individual Theatre Alberta members are welcome to submit proposals to Theatre Alberta.

Three proposals will be selected and offered at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. The intensives will be three-day master classes led by world-class artists who are experts in their field.

Theatre Alberta will evaluate master class presenting partner applications based on the following criteria:

  • impact on the host company’s activities and development,
  • impact on the Albertan theatre community as a whole,
  • inclusion in a well-rounded series of three master classes.

Groups with selected proposals will pay a $1,500 fee (subject to change), and receive presenting partner recognition and four registration spots for the workshop (a $1,400 value). All participants are responsible for the cost of their meals and accommodations; very reasonable packages are available through Banff Centre. Some promotional and administrative duties will be shared by presenting partner groups.
