First Gift-a-Play Days scripts arrive BEFORE campaign even launched!

Theatre Alberta’s fifth Gift-a-Play Days donation campaign is now live – just in time for #GivingTuesday. The campaign’s webpage has been updated and linked to our 2016 Amazon Wish List of 50 amazing titles. To let you know just how much of a tradition our Gift-a-Play Days has become, we received 3 scripts last week – before having even launched this year’s campaign. Thank you, Morris!

The Theatre Alberta Library is the largest independent publicly circulating theatre library in Canada, with more than 20,000 scripts and theatre reference materials available to our members. Each year, Theatre Alberta creates an acquisitions list with items selected from the following categories:

• Recommendations from our members;
• Award winners from the past year;
• Current seasons of Albertan, Canadian, and International (Broadway and Off-Broadway) theatre companies;
• Diverse themes, plays, and playwrights;
• Lost and/or damaged books; and
• New Canadian plays.

Items selected for Gift-a-Play Days by our Librarians are often the most engaging and exciting books on the annual acquisitions list. Take a look at what this year’s Wish List holds for you!
