Do You Believe in Santa?
When Kris Kringle accidentally gets a job working as a Santa for Macy’s, his unique approach to customer service — referring parents to rival stores for hard-to-find toys — ruffles the feathers of the dollar-driven Macy’s management. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy’s staff counselor, a plot to have Kris sent to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital ensues and he ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl’s belief in Santa. Supported by six-year-old Susan and Susan’s attorney neighbour, Fred, they fight to prove Kris is the true Santa, giving Susan and kids all over the most precious gift – something to believe in.
In Rosebud Theatre‘s upcoming Miracle on 34th Street, Tim Dixon takes on the role of Kris Kringle – Santa Claus to be exact – and it’s a role he doesn’t take lightly. Upon learning that he would be joining the cast in Rosebud, Tim began preparing his beard and his character almost a full year in advance.
