What’s On (Edmonton): “Crazy Train” by David Haas – Script Salon

Script SalonOCTOBER’S SCRIPT SALON RESCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 20, 2PM

On Sunday, November 20, SCRIPT SALON will present a compelling investigation into trust, suspicion and unanswered questions with David Haas’ CRAZY TRAIN.

THE STORY: When a rookie cop discovers young Bobby Williams to have been mysteriously bruised, the police turn a suspicious eye toward the parents’ former nurse Sherri (Liana Shannon) and Trevor (Doug Mertz), an army sergeant recently returned by an emotionally scarring tour of duty. As a social services counsellor (Luc Tellier) struggles to deal the parents’ hostility, it is left to a local police sergeant (Michelle Brown) to probe for the truth. But as facts, suspicions and half-truths mix, the truth becomes harder to identify.

The plays are read by Michele Fleiger, Sharla Matkin, Andy Northrup and Luc Tellier.

Sunday, November 20 at 2:00pm in the Upper Arts Space at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 10037 84 Avenue.

Admission is free, although donations are accepted. Refreshments are available. Parking is free.

After the reading the audience is invited to ask questions and provide commentary directly back to the playwright.

SCRIPT SALON is sponsored and supported by the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Alberta Playwrights Network and Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
