Call for Participation (National): Equity Census – Canadian Actors’ Equity Association

Canadian Actors' Equity AssociationCOMING SOON: EVERYBODY COUNTS | 5-QUESTION, 2-MINUTE SURVEY

In 2015, with the help of members across Canada, the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association launched the Equity Census, a ground-breaking project, which gathered demographic information relating to age, culture and ethnicity, diverse ability, and gender and sexual identity. Equity will once again be engaging R.A. Malatest & Associates Ltd, the Canadian research firm who assisted with the Equity Census, to reach out to members who were not able to participate in the Equity Census.

Members who missed the 2015 Equity Census will now have the opportunity to participate in Everybody Counts, a brief, new 5-question survey. This new survey covers only the fundamental demographic data we need in order to effectively advocate on your behalf (disability, ethnic heritage, ethnocultural/racial identity(ies), gender identity, sexual orientation).

It is essential to keep the hard demographic diversity work begun in 2015 moving forward.

Members who participated in the Equity Census will not be contacted for this survey.

NEW members who joined after May 15, 2015, or members who were unable to complete the Equity Census, may request an Everybody Counts survey invite by emailing communications@caea.com. Please provide your member number.

The ongoing collection of information about the diversity of Equity’s membership will allow Equity to measure the impact of member diversity on work opportunities, engagement patterns and income earned on an ongoing basis.
