Crime Does Not Pay

AUDITION NOTICE

Downstage Theatre and Forte Musical Theatre will be auditioning actors on Monday, November 28 for the role of Eleanor Flood in their World Premiere of Crime Does Not Pay, a new musical by David Rhymer and Kris Demeanor in Calgary, Alberta.

To apply for an audition, please email Artistic Associate Lara Schmitz at lara@downstage.ca with your headshot, resume and a brief statement of interest by Friday, November 18.

In order to extend equal opportunity to Artists who reside outside of the Theatre’s point of origin and who cannot audition in person due to location, Artists may submit video submissions to Downstage for consideration. To be considered for an in person audition, please be sure to indicate any scheduling conflicts you have on the audition date. You can also contact Lara to request a reading script.

We thank all applicants for their interest and will notify you either way regarding our ability to grant you an audition. If selected, you will be asked to prepare a scene from the play as well as two contrasting one-minute songs of your choice.
