Artpreneur Award recognizes local creative economy

The Artpreneur Award is a collaboration between the Wood Buffalo Arts Council and the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes individual artists, crafts people, and arts-based business which have made an outstanding contribution in the combined areas of business success, innovation, and community services, and have added value to the local creative economy.

The nominees for this year’s Artpreneur Award were:

• Michelle Thorne – Theatre; Just Because
• Rajasthan Creations by Purva
• Spotlight Performance Wear
• Wood Buffalo Productions

The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala 2016 was held October 20th. This year’s Artpreneur recipient is Campbell’s Music.
