Members needed for Calgary Puppetry Day, March 2017

We are recruiting volunteer committee members to help with the planning of Calgary Puppetry Day 2017 in March! We are looking for help with video and video editing, community outreach, poster/postcard distribution, social media, funding/fundraising, volunteer coordination, and overall event organization. The committee will meet monthly and will also volunteer at the event.

What is Calgary Puppetry Day? Calgary Puppetry Day is a yearly family event celebrating puppetry with puppet making and performances in Calgary.

On March 21, 2016, WP Puppet Theatre launched Calgary Puppetry Day, in conjunction with World Puppetry Day, for the first time in Calgary, with a day of fun, imagination and creativity for all ages.
It was a busy day at Fort Calgary with over 500 participants who made over 250 puppets using our templates and baskets of found craft items. Calgary Puppetry Day featured a Puppet Open-Mic with short puppet performances by local puppeteers. Read more here.
