Two Edmonton World Premieres are finalists for GG’s Literary Awards!
The five playwrights short-listed for the 2016 Governor General’s Literary Awards in Drama are:
- Brad Fraser Kill Me Now, Playwrights Canada Press
- Colleen Murphy Pig Girl, Playwrights Canada Press
- Donna-Michelle St. Bernard A Man A Fish, Playwrights Canada Press
- Jordan Tannahill Concord Floral, Playwrights Canada Press
- Mary Vingoe Refuge, Scirocco Drama / J. Gordon Shillingford Publishing
A special shout-out to Brad Fraser for Kill Me Now which premiered in Edmonton in 2013 with Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre, and to Colleen Murphy, Playwright-in-Residence at the University of Alberta, for Pig Girl, which premiered in Edmonton, also in 2013, with Theatre Network.
