“Best of Calgary theatre honoured at Betty Mitchell Awards”

If there was any animosity or rivalry at the 19th annual Betty Mitchell Awards show, it was well hidden.

There was a great deal of love and camaraderie in the air at Vertigo Theatre as each winner’s name was greeted with thunderous applause and cheers.

Hosted by Josh Bertwistle, Carly McKee, Chris Enright and Nicole Zylstra, the 2016 Bettys celebrated the 50 plays and their artists that were eligible for awards even if they weren’t nominated.
