Banff Playwrights Colony announces 2017 Program Details!

Canadian playwrights at all stages of their careers, developing theatrical projects of all kinds, are invited to apply for this fully-funded two-week creative residency. Alongside an array of international guest artists, you’ll be provided a collaborative, inclusive and interdisciplinary environment in which to work.

The Colony is committed to hosting a dynamic conversation about storytelling and contemporary performance and invites participants creating new works for both adult and young audiences to push Canadian theatre into the future.

Program dates: April 17 – May 6, 2017.

Application Deadline: September 14, 2016.

Banff Playwrights Colony is committed to supporting challenging, multi-disciplinary, provocative approaches to storytelling with and for young audiences. For the 2017 Colony, projects investigating the theme of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) are encouraged to apply.
