OPEN AUDITIONS for two Musical Theatre pre-professional companies!
The Dance Theatre Performing Arts Centre: Both Young Performers (7 – 10 years of age) and Rising Stars (minimum 11 years of age) are Edmonton based pre-professional arts groups providing dancers/singers/actors the opportunity to perform in a variety of performances throughout the year.
Young Performers: 7 – 10 years of age.
Rising Stars: Minimum 11 years of age.
AUDITION DATES:
Young Performers: September 10 & 11, 2016.
- 2.00 pm: Group Dance/Movement
- 2.45 pm: Individual Auditions
Rising Stars: September 10 & 11, 2016
- 3.30 pm: Group Dance/Movement
- 4.15 pm: Individual Auditions
LOCATION: The Dance Theatre Performing Arts Centre, 2001 (2nd floor), 15505 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB
REQUIREMENTS:
- Please wear appropriate clothing & shoes for dance/movement segment.
- Sing one memorized song from a musical that highlights your range and versatility. If using recorded music, please bring to your audition. Acapella is acceptable.
- Memorized monologue (maximum 1 1/2 minutes).
PRE-REGISTER: By September 4, 2016 by email to doreen.c@shaw.ca
- advise preferred audition date,
- submit brief resume and headshot (headshot does not have to be a professional shot).
- provide preferred method of communication.
Company rehearsals will commence on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
- Young Performers: 3.00 – 4.30 pm (to be confirmed).
- Rising Stars: 3.00 – 5.30 pm (to be confirmed).
- Company members will be provided the opportunity to take part in a variety of performances throughout the season.
