Overview: Smaart is the most straight-forward and widely used software for real-time system measurement, optimization and control in professional sound engineering today. It helps audio professionals around the globe do their jobs better, faster, and smarter.

Long-time audio systems engineer and instructor Jamie Anderson will facilitate this three-day training session designed to give participants real-world experience with the Smaart software, with assistance from GerrAudio.

What does it offer? Smaart School training sessions provide students with a solid foundation in the application and utilization of Smaart v.8 in sound system measurement, optimization and acoustical analysis.

Multi-channel measurement signals will be distributed to participant’s laptops via a Dante audio network. All class attendees are required to bring a laptop computer with the most up-to-date version of Smaart v.8 and the Dante Virtual Sound Card installed. A 30 day demo of Smaart v.8 is available for those who don’t own a full version.

Who should register? This workshop applies to those responsible for the setup and operation of professional sound systems from front of house, monitor, and system engineers, to theatre technicians, and students studying sound.

This workshop is held in co-operation with Rational Acoustics, GerrAudio, and The Banff Centre.
