Lead Actor Needed for Downstage / Forte Musical Theatre Co-production!
Downstage and Forte Musical Theatre will be auditioning actors on Friday, August 26 for the lead role of Bob Wood in the World Premiere of Crime Does Not Pay, a new musical by David Rhymer and Kris Demeanor in Calgary, Alberta.
To apply for an audition, please email Artistic Producer Ellen Close at ellen@downstage.ca with your headshot, resume and a brief statement of interest by Wednesday, August 17. Please be sure to indicate any scheduling conflicts you have on the audition date. You can also contact Ellen to request a reading script.
We thank all applicants for their interest and will notify you either way regarding our ability to grant you an audition. If selected, you will be asked to prepare a scene from the play as well as two contrasting one-minute songs of your choice.
