Don’t sing but still want to be part of the action? Become an extra with Edmonton Opera!
As a supernumerary, or “super” for short, supers are just like extras in the movies — you can be a general character like a guard or a townsperson, or have a very specific function in the show. Either way, no speaking (or singing!) is required, just a willingness to be on stage.
The Edmonton Opera is currently seeking supers for the fall production of Turandot! They require:
- 2 male extras: in good physical shape, well built — to play guards.
- 6 male extras: to play a priest and townsfolk.
Casting decisions will also be made based on available costume sizes. If you are interested in being an extra, please email your headshot and resume to Ha Neul Kim at haneul.kim@edmontonopera.com.
Deadline to submit: August 1, 2016.
