The Magnetic North Theatre Festival, Canada’s national festival of contemporary Canadian English theatre, welcomes applications for the full-time position of Artistic Director.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and 5-10 years’ experience with Canadian theatre and the theatre presenting environment. He or she will have proven leadership skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others. He or she will also have the ability to engage with the theatre community and the public, and be able to articulate effectively the vision of the Festival.

The Artistic Director is responsible for selecting the programming for the Festival, including all genres and styles of presentation and inclusively representative of the high quality work produced in Canada.

The Artistic Director, one of two positions that report directly to the Board of Directors, will work in close partnership with the Managing Director.
