Deadline Approaching to Nominate Community Champions of the Arts!
Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in September 2016. One of the anniversary initiatives includes announcing a community-generated list of influential Albertan artists from the past 25 years. The deadline to nominate an artist is only one week away on June 30, 2016.
Albertans are encouraged to submit one or more nominations of artists that they feel have made a significant impact on the Alberta arts community over the last 25 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to honour community champions of the arts from across the province, and the AFA wants to be sure that they have the best pool of nominations from which to choose.
Please remember that anyone may nominate an artist, and that more than one may submit more than one nomination for different artists. Again, it is not the quantity of nominations received for a specific artist that will impact the final decision as much as it is the quality of a nomination.
