Firefly Theatre is at the forefront of aerial theatre in Canada. Our style of storytelling creates exciting and powerful theatrical performances, providing the audience with a memorable experience. This fusion of circus and theatre has given Firefly a unique voice in the Canadian performing arts landscape.
IMPORTANT: All classes are for Adults (17 and over).
INTRODUCTION TO AERIAL ARTS: This is a 6-week class designed for people who want to try aerial circus training for the first time. Students will be instructed on the trapeze, vertical rope, and aerial silks.
- Saturday: June 25th – August 13th 12:00 – 1:30pm
BEGINNING AERIAL SILKS: Focus your circus training on the dramatic aerial silks. Various styles of silks will be used, including a knotted silk or ‘hammock.’
- Saturday: June 25th – August 13th 1:45 – 3:15pm
EXTREME STRETCHING & CONTORTION: Contortion requires not only flexibility and grace but strength and muscle control. Students will improve flexibility, strength, and body awareness, and work on essential balances and poses.
Beginners:
- Tuesday: June 28th – August 2nd 6:00 – 7:00pm
