General Auditions for Upcoming Canadian Projects!

In preparation for upcoming Canadian projects for the 2016-2017 season, The Malachites will be hosting General Auditions in Calgary, Monday July 4th.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our first round of auditions in Edmonton. It was wonderful to connect and work with so many artists from around Alberta and beyond. We’re excited to meet more Canadian artists as we hold our second round of Generals in Calgary! We had huge interest in our first round, so if you have already expressed your interest PLEASE do so again to make sure you are seen.

Please EMAIL submissions to daniellelarose@live.ca with the subject title “Malachite General Auditions” and include a headshot and resumé in PDF format. Deadline to submit is Friday July 1st.

Auditionees will be required to prepare one classical monologue (preferably in verse) no longer than 2 minutes and may be asked to do a cold read. If you play an instrument or sing, please prepare a short piece which demonstrates your musicality and is no longer than one minute.

CAEA members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Please bring your membership card to the audition. Malachite Theatre employs artists from all cultural and creative backgrounds.
