Theatre Alberta is now accepting season submissions for the 2016-2017 Theatre Alberta Playbill!This is the only resource available in Alberta listing professional, community, and post-secondary theatre productions and festivals together in a month-by-month format.

Poster
Minimum print run of 2500 copies! The poster is distributed around the province to theatres, arts organizations, schools, libraries, entertainment reporters, and Theatre Alberta members.
Here is an example of how we list productions:

Albertan and Canadian productions are highlighted with special icons. Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) productions, and Youth focused programs are identified with an icon, as well.
Online
Productions listed in Theatre Alberta’s Playbill are also included in Theatre Buzz (our monthly eNews with 3,000 subscribers) and the ‘Playing this Week’ widget on nearly every page on our website. The online Playbill service allows users to search for shows by date, and adding a “See More” option for more details about each production. In 2015 / 2016, the online Playbill was viewed nearly 2,000 times every month.
Online production listings include links to theatre company websites and box office information, as well as links to Google Maps – so audiences can use their smart phones or desktops to find directions to the theatre venue.
What’s On Blog
The What’s On blog post is an opportunity to include important information about your event not captured by the Playbill poster: ticket prices, show times, detailed plot description, featured artists, poster, marketing images, etc. You can submit your posting at any time during the 2016-2017 season.

Group Members: Current Theatre Alberta group members may list their season information free-of-charge on the Playbill poster, and their season information will remain online as long as their membership remains current.
Non-Members: Company information on the poster is listed free-of-charge. Each event listing costs $30.00 (including GST).

Photos
We are seeking production photos from last season to be featured on the Playbill poster. Email Debbie MacLeod at debbie@theatrealberta.com. The deadline for receiving photo submissions is July 4.
Advertising
Theatre Alberta members are also eligible to purchase display ads on the Playbill poster and the online webpage at substantially reduced prices compared to non-members. The Playbill ad sheet will be available June 10.
Please note: If you have any concerns about releasing theatre season information that has not yet been made public, Theatre Alberta will keep all season information private until the poster has been published in mid-August. Remember that you can enter TBA or TBC for productions that have not yet been confirmed: we can update the information later if things change.
Deadline for submission is June 30, 2016.
