Fringe Favourite Gerald Osborn Cooks Up a Two Course Evening of Comedy for June’s SCRIPT SALON!
On Sunday, June 5, SCRIPT SALON is delighted to present readings of two comedies by Fringe favourite Gerald Osborn.
THE STORY: Gerald Osborn welcomes you to two restaurants of distinction, separated by centuries but both featuring a menu of laughs.
EPIC TRAGEDY is served up in an ancient bistro where the celebrities of Greek mythology come to dine. Farce, fate and the finest food are the bill of faire.
GOSSAMER FEAST takes us to an annual family gathering at a high class restaurant. Under the imperious gaze of their mother, three sons share their stories and express their unwavering love. But the evening’s main course is a startling secret that shakes the family dynamics to its very foundation.
The plays are read by Julien Arnold, James Hamilton, Andrea House, Sharla Matkin, Rebecca Merkley, Clayton Plamondon, Cody Porter, Allison Wells and Catherine Wenschlag.
- Sunday, June 5 at 7:30pm in the Upper Arts Space at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (10037 84 Avenue).
- Admission is free although donations are accepted. Refreshments are available. Parking is free.
- After the reading the audience is invited to ask questions and provide commentary directly to the playwright.
SCRIPT SALON is sponsored and supported by the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Alberta Playwrights Network and Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
