The Silver Stars Musical Revue Society (SSMRS) is a non-profit organization demonstrating that being mature does not preclude energy, creativity and glamour. The goal of the Silver Stars is to provide a venue for Calgary’s mature citizens (ages 45 to 92) to participate in an exciting, musical theatre atmosphere. The cast of Silver Stars features performers who have performed with Bob Hope and Benny Goodman.

Highlighting Broadway songs famous when the cast were in their teens, our spring show “16 Going on 17” is directed by Karen Johnson-Diamond (“Time Present” and “Dads in Bondage” – Lunchbox Theatre), with musical director Bruce Petherick (“The Little Prince” -Theatre Calgary) and featuring choreography by Joyce Reddy (Joyce Reddy Dancers).

“16 Going on 17” will be presented in the intimate Cardel Theatre on May 13^th and 14^th. Performances are at 7 pm both evenings, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday the 14^th. Tickets are just $20, or $10 for kids 12 years old and younger. The Cardel Theatre is located at 180 Quarry Park Blvd S.E. in Calgary, Alberta
