Smut has a theme this year and it’s ZOO.
Zookeepers, interpretive centres, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, safaris, aquariums, gardens, cages, sanctuaries, trainers, wild animals, tame animals, animal escapes… not to mention petting. Be an animal, play with an animal, learn, interact, or just do it like they do on the discovery channel. Whatever your flavour, come out for a guaranteed Smutty Nite.
The Smut Zoo is a multidisciplinary performance party taking place as part of Nextfest on June 10, 2016. Emerging artists from all disciplines welcome: theatre, dance, film, performance art, visual art, installations, anything you can imagine into existence. High-energy interdisciplinary collaborations, non-traditional experimental performance, and performer-created work encouraged. Performances range from 30 seconds to full evening installations and roving performances. For the purpose of this festival, “emerging” refers to artists under the age of 30 who are not professionally represented. All performers must be at least 18 years old.
