PaperDoll_logoPaper Doll Productions is seeking three actors for supporting roles in their upcoming show at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival August 11th-21st, 2016!

Production: Seven Lost Minutes
Audition Dates: Sunday, May 1st, 2016 1:00pm-4:00pm & Thursday, May 5th, 2016 5:00pm-8:00pm
Production Dates: August 11th-21st, 2016 (Days and times TBA. 8 shows guaranteed)
Rehearsals Start: Early – mid May
Deadline to submit: Friday, April 30th, 2016

Description: Based off of a true story, , follows the story of Dianna, a middle aged wife who’s medical symptoms point towards an “unknown disease”. After over a hundred medical tests, and discovering Lupus has taken over her body, Dianna fights for her health, as her family fights for her well-being. Her two younger siblings take over all decisions for her in hopes to give her a normal life. This true story shows how the love of one family can help someone survive whatever life throws at them.

Character Breakdown:

  • Mum (Mary) – Female, Caucasian, late 30s to early 40s. Warm and kind with a fierce personality. She is the backbone of the family, and proudly protects her children in all the choices they make.
  • Doctor- Male, ethnicity not specific, mid 20s to early 30s. Strong headed but ability to be soft when speaking to his patients.
  • Nurse Amy- Female, ethnicity not specific, Early 20s to early 30s. Small, mousy and docile. Described to “not fill the space around her.”

Please indicate as well which day(s) work for you, and we will schedule accordingly. Sides will be emailed out for the audition, and as well please prepare a contemporary monologue no longer than two minutes. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email us as well!
