In this 12-hour workshop, Old Trout Puppet Workshops’ Peter Balkwill will introduce some of the founding, physical modalities in the practice of Suzuki, and its application to the development of a performer’s Ki energy – a physical connection by the individual as well as the collective gathering of this energy by an ensemble.
Tadashi Suzuki’s work is quite abstract but given the open dedication of a beginner’s mind, it can provide alternate understandings to the artist and help define a stronger relationship to their audience, and to the other artists engaged in the same activity.
