Opening Night Afterparty for Archival BAM (Beings & Matter): Silent Auction & Anything But Clothes (ABC) Party.
On April 15th, the opening night of Archival BAM (Beings & Matter), Mile Zero Dance is having a fundraiser. You are invited! This fundraiser will include a silent auction and “Anything But Clothes (ABC)” afterparty. There is no admission for the party or silent auction, besides the regular ticket price for BAM.
Schedule:
- 8PM – Performance of Archival BAM (Beings & Matter)
- 10PM – We will open the door to anyone who did not attend the performance (attendees of BAM get first dibs on bidding!)
- 12AM – Bidding closes
Silent auction: Playing off BAM’s hoarding theme, items will be available in miniature “storage lockers”. While the contents will remain a mystery, bidders will be given clues as to what they are bidding on. We will also be leaking details on donor organizations via social media in the coming weeks, and posting photographic clues. Intrigued? So are we. The silent auction will be held as part of the ABC party, following the 8pm performance of BAM.
Anything But Clothes (ABC) Afterparty: Following the performance of BAM at 8pm, we will be having a good, old-fashioned Mile Zero Dance party at Spazio Performativo! (10816-95 St) Anyone dressed in something other than their regular clothes (be it a costume or nothing at all) will receive a free drink ticket. Come party with MZD and bid on some mystery box items. Admission is by donation (nobody will be turned away for lack of funds). There will be snacks. Bring cash for the bar.
All funds raised at this event will support Mile Zero Dance‘s ongoing programming and operational costs. As a registered charity, we are able to issue charitable receipts.

This event has been graciously organized by a team of Arts & Cultural Management students from MacEwan University. We have been lucky to have had such a great team working with us on this event. A round of applause for the MacEwan students!
