Applications invited for volunteers to our Board of Directors!

Our ideal volunteers will have an interest in theatre with a high social impact and are willing to be strong advocates for Sage Theatre. We are looking for people who have the time and energy to maintain a voluntary position and share the responsibilities (and the fun) with a team of equally committed volunteers.

Board Directors act as stewards for the organization and provide strategic direction to staff, cultivate relationships to support the organization, and as advocates, donors and volunteers to Sage. They also attend board meetings every month as well as participating on committees. Orientation and training is provided to make sure Directors are comfortable and knowledgeable in their role; previous board experience is certainly an asset but not required.

Specifically, one position will be to offer specialized and strategic legal advice to the Board and Sage theatre, help approve all contracts for the Society except where delegated by policy, and appointing legal counsel as necessary.
