On Sunday, March 6, SCRIPT SALON, in association with SKIRTSAFIRE, is proud to present a remarkable collection of monologues by eleven of Edmonton’s playwrights. THE MOMMY MONOLOGUES features a multifaceted look at the sometimes whimsical, sometimes heart breaking, but ultimately rewarding world of motherhood.
THE STORY: THE MOMMY MONOLOGUES breaks the stereotype of our idea of mothers, surprising us with eleven women and all the men and children between them, each in life changing circumstances, a window into the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, not so different from our own.
By Beth Graham, Andrea House, Katherine Koller, Annette Loiselle, Conni Massing, Nicole Moeller, Mieko Ouchi, Dana Rayment, Glenda Sterling, Michele Vance Hehir and Cat Walsh.
The monologues are read by Coralie Cairns, Melissa Thingelstad and Gianna Vicirca.
Sunday, March 6 at 7:30pm in the Upper Arts Space at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (10037 84 Avenue).
Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Doors open at 7. Refreshments are available. Parking is free. There will be talkback with the playwrights.
SCRIPT SALON is sponsored and supported by the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Alberta Playwrights Network and Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
