AUDITION NOTICE!
AUDITION NOTICE!Theatre BSMT will hold auditions for The Only Good Boy by Chelsea Woolley (winner of the BSMT Dwellers Playwriting Competition) on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 12-5pm at the Mamdani Opera Centre, 1315 7 Street SW.
Rehearsals will start mid-April with the show running May 17-22, 2016 at Motel Theatre at Arts Commons.
Auditioning the roles of:
- Jacob Stevenson – late twenties, thinks he has it all figured out, in the fruit snack business
- Monica Winters – early fourties, getting into the world of online dating, youthful energy, holds it together
Jacob and Monica are meeting for dinner. They will have a great time. They’re both wonderful. They’re fine. Fantastic. “The Only Good Boy” explores how we bury and live with our most dangerous secrets. It asks us to recognize our uglies after years hidden under the rock. Jacob and Monica are meeting for dinner. They’re both terrified.
Please prepare a 2 minute contemporay monologue and be prepared for a cold read if needed.
