As we dive head-long into this years Audition Season, Shakespeare Workshops Alberta are offering a One Day Audition Intensive on Shakespeare Speeches in an Audition Setting. This is a fantastic chance to discover a new way of working and get a second opinion on your audition speech!

MORNING (10am-2pm)- Building you Shakespeare Speech Tool Kit

Many companies, productions and training institutions request classical monologues at their auditions. We will spend the first half of the day exploring different techniques to help your speech stand out including choosing the best speech for the occasion, discover new tools and techniques tailored to performing set speeches from Shakespearean and other Elizabethan/Jacobean texts, and develop a comfortable and professional demeanor in an audition setting.

AFTERNOON (2:30pm-6pm)- Mock Auditions

The perfect way to prepare your speech for use in auditions! Apply your new skills in a mock audition setting where you will share a prepared speech with our expert audition panel and the rest of the participants. Working one-on-one with our panel, you will hone your speech to be audition-ready, explore new speeches, learn from the development of your peers, and discover just how easy and exciting it is to audition with Shakespeare’s texts!
